Hello from the Engineering Outreach Office,
U of T is pleased to announce their virtual fall high school programming! Registration for all STEM Enrichment Courses and the Global Engineering Challenge will open on Tuesday, September 14th, 2021, at 8:00 AM ET.
These programs are offered for participants who are currently in grades 9 to 12 (2021-2022 school year).
Full program details, the registration link and information about bursaries can be found by clicking on the program title below.
STEM Enrichment Courses | Grades 9 - 12 | $250
The STEM Enrichment Courses aim to challenge those students who want to dive deeper into various areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. All courses, led by upper-year/recently-graduated engineering students, are designed to showcase the range of projects engineers work on to build a better society.
Students can register for any of the three new courses being offered this fall:
- 3D Designs: Making Engineering Come Alive (Grade 9/10)
- Biotechnology and Modern Medicine – Do Ethics Matter? (Grade 11/12)
- Forensic Engineering: Investigating Engineering Materials (Grade 9/10)
Global Engineering Challenge | Grades 9 - 12 | $350
The Global Engineering Challenge mimics capstone-style undergraduate courses and is designed for those who have an interest in problem-solving. Guided by upper-year/recently-graduated engineering students, participants develop effective solutions to resolve global challenges.
The challenges students can take on this fall are:
- Data Analysis: Predicting and Visualizing Disasters (Grades 9/10)
- Linear Programming: The Optimal Schedule (Grades 11/12)
