Upcoming Student Leadership Conference with Global Vision

The Regional Round Table series provide young Canadians (aged 16-25) with unique opportunities to gain the skills, knowledge and experience to excel in the global economy while increasing their knowledge of and attachment to Canada¹s rich heritage. This Round Table will be an exciting opportunity for your students to:

·      build their leadership and entrepreneurial skills;
·      connect with leaders from business, government, education and community;
·      work with their peers from across the region to develop innovative solutions to local challenges;
·      become eligible for summer work opportunities with Global Vision and Parks Canada

Last year we had one team enter this North American competition.  It would be awesome if we had a few more students forming groups and challenge themselves!

Upcoming 2016-17 Programs

Waterloo Unlimited is a unique, transdisciplinary high school enrichment program at the University of Waterloo.  Rather than focusing on enrichment in a particular subject, each Waterloo Unlimited experience revolves around a different transdisciplinary theme.  Each theme draw from U of W's six faculties: Arts, Applied Health Sciences, Engineering, Environment, Mathematics, and Science.

Grade 12: Road Map to Research (November 16-18, 2016)

A pre-university experience including an introduction to reading academic papers, explore new discoveries with professors, and engage with student researchers.
Program fee: $350 (includes meals; HST)
Supervised hotel accommodation: $200
Application deadline: Friday, October 7, 2016

Grade 11: Theme of "Design" (March 13-17, 2017)

Spend a week exploring the theme of "Design", from engineering and the environment, to science fiction and virtual reality.
Program fee: $550 (includes meals, HST)
Supervised hotel accommodation: $330
Application deadline: Wednesday, December 14, 2016

Grade 10: Theme of "Change" (May 14-18, 2017)

Students consider the perspectives of scientists, engineers, writers, and philosophers as they examine the dynamics of change in technology, society, politics, environment, etc.

Supervised residence accommodation: $180

SHAD applications!!

GRADE 10, 11 AND 12 students:


SHAD is seeking high achieving students interested in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) with incredible intellect, drive, initiative and creativity, who are seeking an enrichment experience. 

The program runs from July 2 to July 28, 2017.

The admission process is competitive. The application takes into consideration both academic results and extra-curricular participation. Please review the application requirements below before starting the online application.
