Hello from the Engineering Outreach Office,
We are pleased to announce that registration opens in 5 minutes for the first round of summer virtual programming! We are offering a variety of engaging topics that are curated to support students in grades 4 to 12 (in the 2020-2021 academic year) develop a passion for STEM, especially engineering.
Policies, full program details and registration links can be found on the program webpage by clicking on the program title.
Global Engineering Challenge | Grades 9 - 12 | $350
The Global Engineering Challenge mimics capstone-style undergraduate courses and is designed for those who have an interest in problem-solving. Guided by upper-year/recently-graduated engineering students, participants develop effective solutions to resolve global challenges.
Three new challenges are offered this summer!
- Linear Programming: The Optimal Schedule
- User Experience Design: Improving the Patient Experience within Hospitals and Clinics
- Data Analysis: Predicting and Visualizing Wildfires
STEM Enrichment Courses | Grades 9 - 12 | $250
The STEM Enrichment Courses aim to challenge those students who want to dive deeper into various areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. All courses, led by upper-year/recently-graduated engineering students, are designed to showcase the range of projects engineers work on to build a better society.
Three brand-new courses are offered this summer!
- Safety First! Computer-Aided Design for Fail-Safe Systems
- Bionics: A Step into the Future
