Unique Leadership Trip Experience



The YMCA of Oakville and Appleby College have partnered to provide a unique FREE experience to youth ages 14-18 in Oakville. Travel to Appleby’s Temagami campus to be immersed in an Indigenous Education experience, build interpersonal and intrapersonal skills in the great outdoors.

Participants will meet members of the local Indigenous community of Bear Island, experience workshops in art, culture & language, and learn how to connect with nature.

Sleeping accommodations are in Appleby’s on-site cabins. All food & transportation for this experience is included.

Letters for schools highlighting the educational value of the trip will be provided upon request.

Availability of this experience is limited to 30 participants.
