Global Young Leaders Conference

This is an opportunity for high school students to gain new perspectives on your world by immersing yourself in global issues discussions and study the art of cross-cultural communication. This is a 10-day venture to Washington, D.C. and New York City (optional) "Throughout the program of your choice, students will expand their perspectives and cultivate your inherent leadership skills by examining and discussing global issues with distinguished diplomats and by visiting historical and modern-day bastions of political, social, and economic influence." Participants will begin with a "walk of hope" travelling from Maple Avenue to the Trafalgar Sports Park, where they will share in a day of friendship, support and hope, enjoyed through a variety of fun and educational activities Transportation will be provided from Acton and Georgetown South (sign up during pre-registration)
