“YOU can lock up a mouse or a person, but you cannot lock
up an idea,” so said Tommy Douglas in his famous speech
Mouseland. What do you think? Are ideas bulletproof? Are
they more powerful than the people who would oppose them?
PRODUCE an original piece of writing, visual art or video
based on this year’s theme, “You cannot lock up an idea.”
The eight provincial winners will receive a cash award of
$1000 and will be invited to the Ontario Secondary School
Teachers’ Federation annual general meeting in Toronto
to receive their award.
THE student achievement awards celebrate the work
between OSSTF/FEESO members (teachers and
education workers) and their students.
