The Ridge's TrailHacks Virtual hackathon


Are you an aspiring web developer? Software engineer? Computer engineer? Are you interested in coding? 3-D Printing? Assembly? TrailHacks is the event for you! 

On Saturday, December 12th, participate in Iroquois Ridge High School’s first ever virtual hackathon from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Virtual Discovery Day McGill University

 

A modified virtual ½ day program comprises a keynote lecture, one interactive workshop and a career panel discussion. As always, participants will be able select the workshop of their choice amongst a list of many. 

If you are a student in grades 10 to 12  interested in science, perhaps this is something you can consider attending.

Michael Smith Science Challenge

 

The Michael Smith Science Challenge is a bilingual national competition written by students in Grade 10 Science or lower. It emphasizes logical thinking and covers material in the science curriculum common to all provinces. It is named in honour of UBC’s Nobel Prize Winner Dr. Michael Smith and is sponsored by the UBC Faculty of Science. Prizes are awarded to the top students (and their teachers) in each province, territory, and nationally.

Studying Business in the United States

This month, EducationUSA is highlighting options for studying Business in the United States. Please feel free to distribute this webinar information to any student or educator who may be interested. As always, these events are free to attend.

This session is meant to be attended prior to the events during International Education Week (IEW). This session is a primer on the various pathways to studying Business including Associate's, Bachelors, and graduate degrees (including MBAs). Students will take away the various outcomes of the degree options available. EducationUSA Canada adviser Jenika Heim will present.

During this two-hour session, you will hear about 8 diverse undergraduate Business programs including Bentley University, Creighton University, Doane University, Florida Institute of Technology, Kalamazoo Valley Community College, Marquette University, Rowan University, and St. John's University.
